L'agguato - Ghosts from the Past
Poco dopo la mezzanotte del 12 giugno 1963 Medgar Evers, primo segretario dell'Associazione Nazionale per l'Avanzamento delle Gente di Colore, venne ucciso sulla porta di casa. Trent'anni dopo Bobby ( Baldwin), assistente del procuratore distrettuale, riesce a far riaprire il caso. Rischia di mandare in frantumi il suo matrimonio e di compromettere la sua carriera, ma la sua tenacia, alla fine, lo premia. Byron De La Beckwith (Woods), un fanatico del Ku Klux Klan, viene condannato da una giuria mista.
