Christine, una giovane donna di 24 anni, vive nella fattoria del padre del suo compagno. Sotto il sole cocente che infiamma la campagna, cominicia progressivamente ad avvertire un senso di soffocamento che la spinge a voler fuggire altrove... Un film tedesco molto simile a un documentario che intende decostruire il mito romantico della vita in campagna.
